Sunderland are being linked with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Arthur Avom as Florent Ghisolfi plans a busy summer, with Europa League football and another Premier League campaign after a seventh-place finish under Régis Le Bris.
Extra fixtures will make depth a priority, and Ghisolfi is weighing arrivals against potential exits, registration limits and the wage bill.
Bild claims Union Berlin are keeping close tabs on Lorient midfielder Avom and could move this summer, with Bournemouth and Sunderland also tracking the 21-year-old.
The report adds he made 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring twice with one assist, and already has senior Cameroon caps. Le Bris knows the French market well from his Lorient ties, and European demands could make youthful midfield depth attractive.
The West Ham Way reports Everton are among the clubs keen on Wan-Bissaka, with Sunderland, Newcastle United, Fulham and Fenerbahce also monitoring. The same source has been cited as indicating Everton are currently the most advanced and that West Ham could seek a £15 million to £20 million fee.
Wan-Bissaka’s top-flight experience with Crystal Palace, Manchester United and West Ham would bring proven defensive quality at full-back. Sunderland already have Trai Hume and Nordi Mukiele on the right, and Hume’s versatility has seen him used in different roles. For now, it appears one to watch from a Sunderland perspective.
