Sunderland have opened their season ticket waiting list as supporters absorb price rises for 2026-27. Joining is the priority route to any seats released after renewals.
Early bird last March was £460. Sunderland Echo understands many now face renewals around £550, just under a 20% rise.
Renewals are tiered by loyalty across three groups, long-term holders since 2022-23 or earlier, shorter-term holders, and buyers from June after promotion.
Long-serving fans still pay the lowest overall prices, though some seats are rising notably. In that bracket, the highest-priced card is £715.
The steepest increases are believed to hit the middle tier at roughly 25%-30%. Those who bought in April before promotion are broadly around 15%, while June-onward buyers are about 5% from a higher base.
After promotion, the cheapest new season ticket was £590, with other areas at £690 and £780. Concessions remain and payments can again be spread over six instalments by direct debit.
The renewal window runs until 12pm on Saturday 11 April 2026, after which unclaimed seats will be released. Subject to availability, waiting list members can buy from 5pm on Monday 20 April 2026, with pre-23 February sign-ups given a 48-hour exclusive window.
Sunderland will expand safe standing for 2026-27, adding more than 2,500 places in the Southwest Corner.
The South Stand will be designated a singing section after consultations. A seat-move window runs from 5pm on Monday 13 April until Friday 17 April, and the section will be clearly marked on future maps and ticketing platforms.
