Sunderland have outlined how their new ticket ballots will function as a three-tier membership scheme goes on sale.
According to Sunderland Echo, sales opened at 10am on Tuesday. Season Ticket Plus adds events, content and an away-ticket ballot for existing holders. Black Cats Adult gives non-holders content, events, waiting-list access and a home-ticket ballot, with Black Cats Academy the junior equivalent.
Season ticket access to Europa League home games is unchanged, the membership is separate. More details are due in the coming weeks, with the usual cup priority window and seats preserved for holders. Existing privileges are unaffected.
Home tickets are first offered to Black Cats Adult and Academy members via ballot, any leftovers go to general sale. Given last season’s demand, that may be rare.
When opting in, supporters state preferred areas or select no preference, seats are auto-assigned to match. A reservation requires checkout to complete the purchase.
One membership equals one ticket. Groups must all be members, can link accounts and apply together, with an option to proceed if adjacent seats are unavailable.
Any under-16 application must be linked to an adult member. If an under-16 wins a seat not alongside the adult, a move can be arranged before the game on request.
For away matches, 10% of allocations is reserved for the new ballot. Black Cat Points continues, with 90% released across Phases one and two, and any remaining seats then in Phase three.
