Sunderland’s summer business comes into focus as they gear up for a historic Europa League campaign and a crammed calendar.

The Premier League have confirmed the window opens on Monday, June 15. Deals can be agreed beforehand, but registrations only take place once the window is open.

This year’s deadline has moved to 11pm on Tuesday, September one, extended from the seven pm cut off used in the last two summers.

Clubs can use a deal sheet to secure an extra two hours to finalise paperwork. For an 11pm cut off, the sheet cannot be submitted before nine pm and must arrive before the window closes. Once lodged, clubs then have until one am to complete the move.

Regis Le Bris and his squad face at least eight additional fixtures in the league phase alongside Juventus, Marseille and AC Milan. That tally could grow with progress in the knockout rounds and domestic cups.
