Sunderland have unveiled their 2026/27 Hummel home shirt, a tribute to the 1937 FA Cup win over Preston North End at Wembley. It goes on sale online and in club stores at 8am on Wednesday, priced at £65 for adults and £50 for juniors.
According to Sunderland Echo, Hummel’s design includes details honouring the 1937 side, with the original city crest from that era positioned on the back of the shirt.
The Stadium of Light store launch on Wednesday will feature themed giveaways, including an FA Cup '37 pin badge and collectable player cards. A unique window display will showcase the original 1937 shirt, with a separate 1937-themed installation at the Fans Museum. Free parking will be available from 5pm BST on Tuesday 28 July until 8pm on Wednesday 29 July in the stadium’s Blue and Green car parks.
The reveal will also be marked during the club’s tour of the US, where buyers can claim a tour-exclusive printed patch commemorating the '37 trophy free of charge at purchase.
Sunderland have commissioned a new mural in Roker dedicated to Eddie Burbanks, one of three scorers in the 1937 final, completing a trio alongside Raich Carter in Hendon and Bobby Gurney in Silksworth.
The shirt forms part of a wider range, with a warm-up jersey, quarter-zip and anthem jacket also available. Like the away and goalkeeper strips for the new season, it will be sold without a sponsor while talks continue over a new principal partner.
