The latest Europa League SuperComputer update is out after last night’s matches, and it’s predicting that theRangers will fail to pick up a single point, while Celtic will actually qualify for the play-off round to face Bologna…

Martin O’Neill, as we reported earlier on The Celtic Star, estimates that Celtic will need to secure 10 points to qualify and the Europa League SuperComputer estimates that’s exactly the number of that Celtic will finish on giving them a 23rd place finish to scape into the play-off rounds to set up a predicted knockout tie against Italian side Bologna. Bad news is that the SuperComputer reckons we’ll lose that one, but you never know.

Teams failing to make it through to the play-offs include the likes of Salzburg, Young Boys, Nottingham Forest and Go Ahead Eagles with every club bar one picking up some points. The team that is tipped to finish a bruising campaign with zero points is theRangers with M Tev Aviv ending up second bottom with just two points more than the latest Ibrox club. Here’s how the Europa League SuperComputer sees things panning out…

Europa League SuperComputer: theRangers fail to pick up a single point and finish rock-bottom, Celtic qualify for play-offs under Martin O’Neill…

The latest Europa League SuperComputer has predicted where Scotland’s teams will finish in the table. There is more disappointment on the horizon for theRangers who are tipped to finish bottom however Celtic will enjoy more success, qualifying for the play-offs under Martin O’Neill’s guidance

The latest Europa League SuperComputer has also predicted that Nottingham Forest will fail to make the tournament’s knockout round after failing to beat SK Sturm Graz last night.

Sean Dyche’s side currently find themselves sitting 23rd position after leaving Austria with a point, a finish that would see them qualify for the play-off stage. However, Morgan Gibbs-White’s first-half penalty miss could prove costly, with the SuperComputer, produced by boffins at AceOdds, suggesting Forest will fail to progress past the group stage in 27th, one point outside the play-off positions.

At the other end of the table, the SuperComputer suggests Aston Villa will finish top. Unai Emery’s side impressed in the Champions League last season and will undoubtedly harbour hopes of European glory this time around. It’s forecast that the West Midlands side will finish two points ahead of Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros in second.

Moving into the knockout stages of the competition, Villa are expected to ease past Fernebache and beat Roma in the quarter-finals before suffering heartbreak in the semi-finals against Lyon, who the SuperComputer tips up as the competition’s winners.

More misery is expected north of the border for theRangers following their defeat against Roma at Ibrox. The SuperComputer believes Danny Rohl’s side will finish rock-bottom and fail to pick up a single point in what has, so far, been a disastrous 2025/2026 campaign.

Meanwhile, not all hope is lost for Celtic despite suffering a 3-1 loss at the hands of FC Midtjylland last night. Under the tutelage of legendary boss Martin O’Neill, the SuperComputer suggests they will sneak into the play-off stages by finishing in 23rd on 10 points.

Although progress into the play-offs is set to be as good as it gets for the Hoops, who, according to the SuperComputer, will then be knocked out of the competition by Italian side Bologna.
