André Almeida’s move from Valencia to Swansea has stalled, with the midfielder yet to give final approval despite an agreement between the clubs worth around three and a half million euros plus add-ons.
According to Sky Sports, Swansea are working on an alternative, targeting 19-year-old Senegalese midfielder Ousseynou Fall Seck of Randers FC in the Danish Superliga, should the deal fall through.
Valencia view the Portuguese’s exit as a priority to free up funds and move on other business. Almeida was allowed to skip training while details with Swansea were being finalised, but he has since paused the process to weigh up options.
Celta de Vigo are the leading alternative the player is considering, monitoring his situation without making a formal offer to Valencia. In the meantime, he continues to work separately from the main group.
Swansea remain interested but are putting contingencies in place, aware that time is tight and a rejection is possible. The decision now rests with Almeida.
