Ian Holloway's side have apparently beat a number of other fourth-tier clubs to the signing of Fletcher Holman
League Two promotion chasers Swindon Town are set to sign Wolves striker Fletcher Holman on loan until the end of the season, with Ian Holloway’s side poised to beat a number of unnamed fourth tier clubs to the highly rated forward’s signature and complete some more early-window business at the County Ground.
This comes after the Robins boss kept his cards typically close to his chest when quizzed on the speculation last Thursday.
Speaking to BBC Radio Wiltshire on January 8th, Holloway refused to confirm or play down the club’s interest in the Premier League youngster, but did underline that he must be selective about how many loan slots he uses in the second half of the season.

Journalist Darren Witcoop has revealed on X that Swindon are closing in on a deal to bring young Wolves forward Holman to Wiltshire on a loan agreement running for the remainder of the campaign.
As previously mentioned, it is believed that several other League Two outfits were in the race for his services before the Robins moved to the front of the queue.
The 21-year-old joined Wolves from Eastbourne Borough two years ago after a prolific spell in non-league, where he hit double figures in the National League South after just half a season - scoring ten goals in fifteen games.
The Robins have already been very active this winter window, bringing in winger Michael Olakigbe from Brentford and midfielder Aidan Borland from Aston Villa, both on loan.
Holloway has also added Sunderland midfielder Ben Middlemas on a permanent deal as the 62-year-old boss looks to add to a squad that can sustain an automatic promotion push. This means Holman joining would take this number of January signings up to four.

If, as expected, Holman arrives at the County Ground, his profile appears to complement the work Swindon have already done this month and the attacking style Holloway has been trying to implement since taking over.
Holman is an out-and-out striker by trade but can also play out wide, and is regarded at Wolves as a mobile, hard-working forward with an eye for goal.
In a Swindon side that are at the top end of League Two and looking to maintain momentum in a promotion race, a hungry young forward eager to prove himself in the EFL could be a timely addition.
Holloway’s words on not 'going over the top' with loan signings suggests that, if the Robins are prepared to use up a precious spot on Holman, they see him as someone capable of making a genuine contribution in the run-in rather than merely making up squad numbers.
With the Wiltshire-based club already reinforcing midfield and wide areas this month, attention turning to the number nine position feels logical for some more variety in the final third.
For Wolves, Swindon’s positive position in the table - second in League Two - makes them an attractive partner for a Premier League club looking for a competitive yet stable environment for a young attacker wanting to make a name for himself.
