Arijon Ibrahimovic was on loan to 1. FC Heidenheim last season. He returned to the record champions this summer and was expected to serve as backup to Luis Diaz on the offensive end.
Pre-season training at Bayern Munich is now over, and Ibrahimovic hasn’t done much to draw attention to himself. Other second-string attacking players, including Maycon Cardozo, have stood out more.
That’s why things could now take a turn for Ibrahimovic. As Sky revealed in its Transfer Update, FC Bayern is no longer opposed to the idea of loaning out the player.
That would be a complete turnaround, given that the 20-year-old was actually firmly in the club’s plans. Ibrahimovic has received several inquiries, which likely prompted all parties involved to once again consider a departure.
Ibrahimovic has received two offers from the Bundesliga. Both Werder Bremen and FC Union want to sign the player on loan. There, he could get playing time—certainly more than he would at Bayern Munich. This has also become a topic of discussion in the recent talks between the player’s camp and the record champions.

Atalanta of Serie A has also inquired about the player. During the live broadcast, Florian Plettenberg revealed that Werder Bremen has already held initial concrete talks. The outcome is still up in the air. It remains unclear which club Ibrahimovic would prefer if all three named suitors really step up the pressure.
At the same time, it seems clear that FC Bayern is instead putting its trust in two young players and giving them the chance to get a taste of the first-team squad time and again. These are the aforementioned Cardozo and Tim Binder, who is currently recovering from a torn muscle fiber but showed promise during preseason training.
