The Best FIFA Football Awards takes place this week and here we take a look at all the nominees for the women’s awards to be handed out on the night.

When is The Best FIFA Football Awards?

The ceremony for The Best FIFA Football Awards will take place on Tuesday, December 16th at 5pm GMT.

It will take place at the Fairmont Katara Hall in Doha, Qatar.

Arsenal and Chelsea players nominated for Best FIFA Women’s Player

There are eight Women’s Super League players nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Player 2025, with four nominees coming from Arsenal.

Leah Williamson, Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo and Mariona Caldentey have all been shortlisted after helping Arsenal win the Champions League last season.

The quartet also played in the Euro 2025 where England emerged victorious against Spain.

Chelsea also have four nominees on the shortlist including Lauren James and Lucy Bronze who also played in the Euro 2025 final.

They are joined by France star Sandy Baltimore and Swedish defender Nathalie Bjorn.

Aitana Bonmati will be a favourite for the award after she beat Caldentey and Russo to become a three-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Barcelona and Spain star Bonmati broke her leg while on Spain duty and is currently out for five months.

Hannah Hampton and Sonia Bompastor up for Best FIFA awards

Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton and head coach Sonia Bompastor are also up for awards.

Yachine Trophy winner Hampton is one of the favourites to win The Best Women’s Goalkeeper award.

She is up against seven other goalkeepers including Manchester United’s Phallon Tullis-Joyce, Brighton’s Chiamaka Nnadozie and England teammate Anna Moorhouse.

Bompastor and Arsenal counterpart Renee Slegers are up for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach award.
