This latest England squad is for the October internationals, a friendly and a World Cup qualifier.
England playing Wales and Latvia.
This Thomas Tuchel England squad featuring two Newcastle United players – Anthony Gordon and Dan Burn.
Tino Livramento of course ruled out through injury.
The England squad (see below) was announced at 10am on Friday – Official announcement from The FA:
The England men’s senior squad to play Wales and Latvia in October has been named by head coach Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel has selected a 24-man group for the two fixtures, which kick-off at Wembley on Thursday 9 October with the Alzheimer’s Society International against Wales (7.45pm BST), before the Three Lions head to Riga where they continue their European Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday 14 October (7.45pm BST). Both games will be shown live in the UK on ITV.
There’s a return to the squad for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who missed the September internationals through injury, while there’s also a place in the group for defender Jarell Quansah with both Tino Livramento and Noni Madueke missing from last month’s squad due to injury.
The squad will meet at St. George’s Park on Monday to begin their preparations for the games, which could see England secure their place at next summer’s World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico dependent on results in Group K.
A limited number of tickets for the game with Wales are still available.
Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle United), Marc Guéhi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City)
