Prospective Leeds United arrivals will find several appealing squad numbers up for grabs ahead of the new season.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Harry Wilson is expected to join Daniel Farke’s side as a free agent after a deal was agreed, having posted 10 goals and seven assists last season. Leeds are also pursuing Shea Charles with bids north of £20million and retain hope of free agent Julian Brandt.

The No. eight Wilson wore at Craven Cottage belongs to Sean Longstaff. No. five has just opened up after Pascal Struijk’s £20m move to Brighton, the Dutchman wore it for two years.

No. twelve was taken by loan winger Jaidon Anthony in 2023/24 before his return to Bournemouth. It has gone unclaimed in the two years since.

No. thirteen is usually for back-up goalkeepers, though neither Karl Darlow nor Alex Cairns chose it. Kristoffer Klaesson left it in 2024, with Kiko Casilla a previous wearer.

No. sixteen is free after Illan Meslier departed at the end of his contract. Past wearers include Yosuke Ideguchi and Toumani Diagouraga.

No. seventeen was Largie Ramazani’s in 2024/25 but became available after his summer loan to Valencia. He could reclaim it if staying, although that seems unlikely, with previous wearers Helder Costa and Alan Smith.

No. 20 was on Jack Harrison’s back for the first half of last season before he joined Fiorentina on loan in January. He is unlikely to be around next season, so the number should remain free.
