With Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle tied down this week, Leeds United’s next renewals are most likely to involve Brenden Aaronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
According to Leedsunited.news, Ethan Ampadu signed fresh terms in June, while a club-record outlay on James Trafford preceded further deals for Tarik Muharemovic, Nico Elvedi and Harry Wilson for £40m. This week brought Elvedi’s announcement and confirmed exits for Sebastiaan Bornauw and Joel Piroe.
Leeds then announced new terms for Rodon, followed less than 24 hours later by Bogle. The right-back’s previous contract ran to 2028 and he has been rewarded after a £5m move from Sheffield United and a successful step up to the Premier League.
After Alex Cairns agreed a two-year deal, three players are into the final years of their contracts, Lukas Nmecha, Aaronson and Ilia Gruev. Of that trio, Aaronson is viewed as the likeliest to renew given his age, resale value and improving form.
Among those expiring in 2028, Calvert-Lewin stands out. A brilliant first season has put him back in the England reckoning, though any long-term commitment might hinge on proving his fitness over another campaign.
Several recent signings are tied to 2029, including Anton Stach, Gabi Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor and James Justin, so fresh terms appear unlikely at this stage.
