Tigre secure top scorer Russo, buy 50% and extend deal to 2028

Tigre has reached a verbal agreement with Rosario Central to acquire 50% of Ignacio Russo’s transfer rights and extend his contract until December 2028. Unless something unforeseen happens, the forward will remain one of the key players for El Matador next season.

Russo was El Matador’s top scorer in the Clausura, played every match of the tournament, and scored five goals—the same number he reached in the Apertura. This is important news for Diego Dabove, who was recently renewed as head coach.
