Tigre secure top scorer Russo, buy 50% and extend to 2028

Tigre has reached a verbal agreement with Rosario Central to acquire 50% of Ignacio Russo’s transfer rights and extend his contract until December 2028. Unless something unexpected happens, the forward will continue to be one of the key players for El Matador in the upcoming season.

Russo was the top scorer for El Matador in the Clausura, played every match of the tournament, and scored five goals—the same number he achieved in the Apertura. This is important news for Diego Dabove, who was recently renewed as head coach.
