Tim Kleindienst ‘to be included’ in Germany World Cup squad amid conflicting reports?

Tim Kleindienst’s chances of a World Cup call-up for Germany are uncertain amid conflicting claims over his inclusion.

ntv reports the Borussia Mönchengladbach forward is likely to be named by Julian Nagelsmann, while Sky Germany claims the 30-year-old will not be selected.

Earlier reports suggested Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jonathan Burkardt and West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug will not be among the chosen forwards, potentially opening a spot.

Even so, any decision to pick Kleindienst would be unexpected, as he has scarcely featured this season due to a knee injury.

He returned against Hoffenheim at the weekend, playing four minutes in Gladbach’s 4-0 victory.

Across the campaign he has logged only 10 minutes over four appearances, although before his injury he scored four times in six games for Germany under Nagelsmann.
