Patrice Neveu was officially appointed as head coach of the Togo national team on Monday. After the official ceremony at Kégué Stadium, the new manager revealed his ambitions.

Patrice Neveu signed a three-year contract. The immediate goal for the 71-year-old veteran coach is to guide Togo to qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The Hawks have not featured in Africa’s biggest tournament since 2017.

The former head coach of Guinea, Mauritania, DR Congo, and Gabon emphasized the core values that will shape his work with the Hawks. "My approach is very simple: discipline in work, clear organization, and genuine commitment. Only under these conditions can we achieve results. There is no room for randomness," the new manager explained. He added that club performance will remain the main criterion for selection.

The Hawks’ doors are open to all players excelling at their clubs, including those in the local league.
