FLW looks at the seven highest earners at Norwich City and their estimated weekly wage.

Norwich City enjoyed a remarkable turnaround after Philippe Clement’s appointment last season.

The Belgian inherited a Canaries side that were firmly battling relegation, and it felt like the club were in disarray, with fans understandably furious at some of the decisions made by the hierarchy.

However, Clement immediately got a tune out of the players, and whilst Norwich failed to make the play-offs, they picked up 56 points from 31 games, and that points per game would have them challenging for the top two over a full campaign.

So, Norwich head into the 2026/27 campaign full of confidence, although Clement will want full backing in the transfer market, as he will recognise that the squad can be improved.

It’s not just about transfer fees as well, as Norwich must compete with their rivals when it comes to wages if they are to get the calibre of player that they need.

With that in mind, we look at the top seven earners at Carrow Road right now, but we must stress that these figures are only estimates provided by Capology

7 ? ? Anis Ben Slimane - £20,000

The versatile midfielder joined the Norfolk outfit on an initial loan from Sheffield United 12 months ago, and he was one of many who improved under the guidance of Clement.

So, Norwich moved to sign Slimane permanently in January, and it has turned out to be a shrewd bit of business. Now, the challenge for the Tunisian international is to maintain that form, and he will hope to play a big part in helping Norwich reach the Premier League.

6 ? ? Vladan Kovacevic - £20,000

The keeper was another signing last year, and it was seen as a good deal by the club, so it’s no major surprise that Kovacevic is among the highest earners at Norwich.

Like Slimane, Kovacevic was another who got better after Clement’s appointment, and he will have benefited greatly from his first season in English football. So, he will be a vital part of the XI moving forward, and this estimated salary reflects that.

5 ? ? Jakov Medic - £25,000

Medic was another signing last year, but it’s fair to say he didn’t hit the heights that many expected. Therefore, some may be shocked to see him on this list, but the defender was seen as a big addition at the time, and he would’ve been on a big wage with Ajax.

Of course, these things happen in football, but, whilst we must stress these are estimates, you would expect Norwich to try and move Medic on this summer from a financial perspective, and the player may be open to move as well.

4 ? ? Harry Darling - £25,000

Norwich went big on their recruitment last year, and Darling joined the club on a free transfer after his deal at Swansea City expired.

Given his experience in the Championship, combined with the fact that Darling didn’t command a transfer fee, he was always going to be on relatively big wages, but Norwich will still feel it was a smart investment from their perspective.

3 ? ? Kenny McLean - £30,000

The midfielder is a firm favourite at Norwich, and he has been a massive player for the club over the years, which included under Clement. Therefore, the new boss was desperate to keep the midfielder, and fresh terms were finalised last month.

That was a boost for Norwich, and McLean will rightly be one of the top earners at the club, as the skipper is an important figure both on and off the pitch.

2 ? ? Mathias Kvistgaarden - £30,000

Kvistgaarden was another signing last year, with the forward joining from Brondby after excelling in Denmark. However, sadly for the Canaries, he wasn’t able to bring that form to the Championship.

After paying nearly £7m for the attacker, Kvistgaarden was always going to be on a high salary, and these estimates suggest that is the case. Unfortunately, the 24-year-old had a tough season, and a summer exit could be on the cards.

1 ? ? Jack Stacey - £30,000

According to the estimated figures, Stacey is the third player on £30,000 a week at Norwich, which makes him one of the joint-top earners.

The full-back had been with Premier League Bournemouth before making the switch to Norwich, and, like Darling, he was on a free transfer, which will have put him in a strong position when it comes to negotiating his wages. Stacey has been a reliable figure for the club since his arrival, and that is likely to continue this season.
