‘Total Agreement’ – Aston Villa And Newcastle United To Miss Out On Target | OneFootball

RB Leipzig have struck an agreement with AC Milan for Aston Villa and Newcastle United target Christopher Nkunku.

Nkunku is surplus to requirements at the San Siro this season and AC Milan have been fielding interest in him.

Premier League sides are keen, with Newcastle having made contact to explore a deal to bring Nkunku to St James’ Park recently.

And Aston Villa, who have Nicolas Jackson as their priority target, have made enquiries about Nkunku to make sure they have enough options if they need to make a move for a different attacker.

Both Aston Villa and Newcastle though are set to see Nkunku removed as an option as he is heading to Germany.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, RB Leipzig have found a ‘total agreement’ with AC Milan to sign the attacker.

Nkunku will be moving to the Bundesliga club on a season-long loan deal, which also contains an option to buy set at the €30m mark.

The move is now fully expected to go through in the coming days and would remove Nkunku as an option for the Premier League pair.

Newcastle splashed big cash on Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade last summer, but neither failed to deliver the expected impact in attack.

They remain in the market to add more cutting edge in the final third and have shown an interest in a player at, like RB Leipzig, a Red Bulls owned club.

New York Red Bulls attacker Julian Hall is a player that Newcastle are tracking in advance of a possible move.

Villa meanwhile will hope they can get their swoop for Jackson over the line.

Unai Emery worked with the Senegalese attacker during his time as Villarreal boss and is keen for a reunion at Villa Park.

Aston Villa could yet see Ollie Watkins go this summer, with the striker being chased by Al Hilal.
