In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Tottenham Hotspur are in the running to land Real Madrid talent Rodrygo. It has been mentioned that Spurs are showing interest in recruiting the Brazilian attacker this summer.
Rodrygo enjoyed a decent run of form at the Madrid club after he put in a handful of impressive performances for them in the final third. The Brazilian attacker registered 14 goals and earned 11 assists in 54 matches for Real Madrid last season across multiple competitions.
The 24-year-old managed to catch the eye at times in the opponent’s half as he averaged 2.52 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga football. He kept 37% of his attempts on target. Rodrygo even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass completion rate of 85.9% in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, it won’t be easy for Spurs to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Rodrygo excels at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes on target. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good finisher in front of the opposition goal.
The Brazilian sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team. Rodrygo is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a left-winger or as a centre-forward if needed. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League.
We can expect Rodrygo to bring a lot of firepower to Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s attack. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.
At 24, Rodrygo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a great fit for Spurs’ needs in this summer transfer window. He might even help the London outfit challenge for a major trophy or two over the next few years. Therefore, Tottenham should focus on going all out to bring him on board ahead of the new campaign.
