Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke reportedly felt pain in his ankle during the week and was left out of today’s friendly as a precaution.
Spurs drew 1-1 with Getafe behind closed doors at Hotspur Way Training Centre today. Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie were also unavailable.
They are both being managed ahead of the new season, and Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi will hope they will be fully fit when the 2026-27 campaign kicks off.
Spurs take on Hoffenheim twice next weekend in their last friendly games of pre-season before their opening Premier League game of the new season against Brentford on August 22.
Tottenham need the trio available for the start of the new season and will hope they kick things off on an impressive note.
Solanke played just 15 Premier League games last season after an injury last August kept him out of action until January.
He also suffered a new hamstring injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers in April before returning to action in pre-season.
The 28-year-old will hope to overcome his fitness woes going forward, but Spurs will have to sign another number nine to boost their chances of impressing next season.
Spurs are unbeaten in pre-season, winning four and drawing one of their five matches.
They need to demonstrate that form this season and De Zerbi needs a fully fit squad available.
