Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison has taken to social media to dispel recent reports that he is suffering a recurrence of an old hip issue.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have been without the attacker for their pre-season games so far.

Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi revealed after an open training session in Sydney that the Englishman has a ‘small problem’.

Tottenham fans feared the worst after reports emerged that the club are currently managing the issue.

However, Maddison insists he is fine, posting this last night.

“Feeling good after another good session today with the team,” he said.

“Working so hard to be healthy and have a great year. Definitely haven’t had any recurrence of any injury I’ve had before.

“Your itk isn’t itk. Coys”

The update is a huge boost from Maddison, and it will be intriguing to see if he is available for the double-header against Hoffenheim this weekend in their last friendly games of pre-season.

Spurs play the Bundesliga club on Saturday and Sunday before their opening Premier League game of the new season against Brentford on August 22nd.

Tottenham are also reportedly sweating on the fitness of Dominic Solanke after he felt pain in his ankle last week.

The striker was left out of weekend’s behind-closed-doors friendly against Getafe at Hotspur Way Training Centre as a precaution.

Defensive duo Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie were also unavailable, while Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski only recently stepped up their rehabilitation.
