According to @LesVioletsCom, Saturday’s Toulouse v Lyon at the Stadium will include tributes to Bryan Bergougnoux, who died on 29 May aged 43.
Before kick-off, a period of silence will be observed for Robert Mouynet, who died this week in Toulouse aged 96.
Bergougnoux came through at OL and won the French title with the club. He later played for Toulouse, where he is fondly remembered. He fell ill while travelling to the city to play in a match for former players and died there.
Mouynet represented both clubs. He was the last French player linked to the 1958 World Cup, having been a reserve.
Next week, during OL v Le Havre at Groupama Stadium, the memories of Bergougnoux and Mouynet should also be honoured. The Bad Gones, with whom Bergougnoux had close ties, are said to be preparing a heartfelt tribute.
Le Havre will also be partly associated, as Bergougnoux was Didier Digard’s assistant last season. Digard delivered a moving speech at his funeral.
