Three trasnfers were announced late Wednesday by Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs: two by AS Saint-Etienne, who have three reinforcements, and one by OGC Nice. Amavi back with Les Aiglons Marseille left-back Jordan Amavi (27), who has been little used this season by Jorge Sampaoli, has been loaned to his former club OGC Nice on Wednesday with an option to buy, the two clubs have announced. The player with 151 Ligue 1 Uber Eats appearances (six goals) has participated in only four games since the beginning of the season - two of which were in the league - despite his contract having been extended through to 2025 last spring. Amavi come full circle in returning to Nice, the city and the club where he made his professional debut (60 games) and with which he won the Gambardella Cup in 2012. He will be in competition with Melvin Bard, the young former OL player who became a regular in Christophe Galtier's team after his arrival last summer. Amavi replaces Ivorian full-back Hassane Kamara, who left for Watford earlier in the transfer window. ASSE: Bernardoni and Thioub bolster squad AS Saint-Etienne announced on Wednesday that they have secured loans - without options to buy - until the end of the season for goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni and striker Sada Thioub, both from Angers SCO. Bernardoni (1.90m), a French U-21 international, is 24 years old and comes from the Paris region. He came up through the academy at Troyes, with whom he made his professional debut in the 2014-15 season at just 17 years old before winning the Ligue 2 BKT title in 2015. He was then transferred to Bordeaux and had two successive loans, to Clermont, in Ligue 2 BKT (2017-18) - where he won UNFP trophy for best goalkeeper, and then to Nîmes. He was transferred to Angers last season where he played all 38 games in the French championship in 2020-21. ASSE needed a goalkeeper after the injury to the left elbow of Etienne Green, who will be absent for several weeks. Meanwhile Sada Thioub, 26, also from the Paris region, came up at SM Caen then Nice and Guingamp, then played at CA Bastia (National) then at Nîmes in Ligue 2 BKT and then in Ligue 1 Uber Eats between 2016 and 2019, during which year he was transferred to Angers. This season, Sada Thioub has played only two minutes in Ligue 1 Uber Eats - against Strasbourg in Round 1 and 13 minutes in the Coupe de France against Linas-Montlhéry. >> TRANSFERS: All the winter moves!
