Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer ‘travelled to Leeds on Saturday morning’ ahead of sealing a move to Leeds United.
With Lucas Perri potentially leaving before the transfer window closes, Leeds need a new goalkeeper to come in and provide cover for James Trafford.
Daniel Farke appears to be looking in the market he knows best, in Germany, for a solution and has settled on 31-year-old Zetterer.
There have been conflicting noises about a potential move to Leeds though as when claims surfaced earlier this week, the goalkeeper’s agent denied a switch to Elland Road was set to happen and insisted his client remains keen to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The situation though may have changed though as, according to German broadcaster Sport1, the goalkeeper has in fact headed to England.

It is suggested that Zetterer ‘travelled to Leeds on Saturday morning’, missing team activities with Eintracht Frankfurt.
While an agreement with Leeds is not fully in place, it is very close and Eintracht Frankfurt want a loan deal with an option to buy including.
When Zetterer’s departure is finalised, Eintracht Frankfurt will then look for another goalkeeper to come in.
Zetterer has been of interest to English clubs before.

In the summer of 2024, he was recommended to then Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola by the club’s scouts.
West Ham United then made a move to try to sign Zetterer last summer, but ended up looking elsewhere as Mads Hermansen arrived.
Zetterer joined Eintracht Frankfurt last summer on a four-year deal to provide goalkeeping cover.
He ended up playing more games than was anticipated however and ended the campaign with 28 appearances to his name, including 22 outings in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Now it remains to be seen if Zetterer does join Leeds, especially as his agent was adamant about a stay in Frankfurt.
