Trouble in the boxes during the derby forced police intervention

There was also confusion off the pitch, more specifically in the box area of the east stand at the Estádio do Dragão. After FC Porto’s second goal, scored by Victor Froholdt, several fans in the stand below the boxes became involved in a heated exchange of words with people in those boxes, with some of the more agitated supporters in the stand trying to gain access to that section.

The prompt intervention of several PSP officers was needed to resolve the situation, although it was not clear what had caused the dispute. What is certain is that, for a few minutes, attention was focused on that area of the stadium.
