Paul Onuachu is the sensation of the season in Turkey. The Nigerian striker netted his 20th goal of the 2025-26 campaign on Tuesday night.

The score was tied at 2-2 between Istanbul BB and Trabzonspor in a match from Group A’s fourth round of the Turkish Cup, when the Nigerian international (31 caps, 4 goals) put his side ahead in the 84th minute. His team eventually secured a 4-2 victory.

With 37 goals and 6 assists in 49 matches wearing the Trabzonspor shirt, which he joined in July 2025, the former Southampton striker is averaging a goal contribution every 84 minutes.

With his second goal in the Turkish Cup, he is also the league’s top scorer with 18 goals—two ahead of Eldor Shomurodov, and five clear of Talisca and Mauro Icardi.

Paul Onuachu is under contract with Trabzonspor until June 2028, but with his current form, a move to a bigger club could be on the cards as early as this summer.
