Krépin Diatta (26) has been a peripheral figure for AS Monaco in recent seasons, even if his versatility has made him a useful squad player during the most recent injury crisis at the Principality club.
However, it is his performances at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Senegal that have put him in the shop window this month. Diatta’s contract at the Principality club is up at the end of the season, and the current trend is not towards the winger signing an extension.
If he is to leave Les Monégasques this month, there are now plenty of clubs willing to welcome him, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The majority of the interest is coming from the Turkish top flight.
The likes of Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, and Trabzonspor are all interested in Diatta, capable of playing on the wing, at wing-back, or at full-back. The publication adds that unnamed English clubs are also in the race to sign the Senegal international this month.
