Two men to stand trial after couple attacked near Groupama Stadium | OneFootball

Two men are to stand trial on 18 February over an alleged group assault on a couple near Groupama Stadium. According to Le Progres, the case follows arrests made on Friday in the Lyon area.

Three men in their thirties, each with a criminal record, were detained. One was later released without charge, the other two will appear before the criminal court.

The incident happened after a match, close to Groupama Stadium in Décines.

The victim, an opposition councillor in Rillieux-la-Pape, says the couple were confronted by several intoxicated people as they left a bar.

She says she was subjected to racist insults before being struck, and that her partner was also hit.
