Bruno, the Brazil U17 goalkeeper during the World Cup in the 2003 edition, stands as the shot-stopper with the highest number of clean sheets in the tournament's history.
Indeed, the Brazilian keeper conceded a goal against Cameroon (1-1) on the opening day of Group C, before stringing together five consecutive matches without letting in a single goal. He shut out Portugal (5-0), Yemen (3-0), then the United States (3-0) in the quarterfinals, Colombia (2-0) in the semifinals, and Spain (1-0) in the final to deliver the title to his country.
Several goalkeepers managed four clean sheets but couldn't surpass Bruno's record, including Julio César (Brazil), Oscar Ustari (Argentina), Samuel Diarra (Mali), and Dele Alampasu (Nigeria).
