U17 World Cup: South Africa kicks off with a bang against Bolivia

U17 World Cup: South Africa makes a strong start against Bolivia
South Africa began their U17 World Cup campaign in the best possible way. Facing Bolivia in their opening match, the Amajimbos claimed an authoritative 3-1 victory, confirming their status as a team to watch in this tournament.
Right from the first minutes, the young South Africans set the tempo, logically opening the scoring before halftime. Goalkeeper Lwandiso Radebe then made a name for himself by saving a Bolivian header destined for the top corner—a decisive stop that preserved his team’s lead. After the break, Neo Bohloko, the Kaizer Chiefs striker, doubled the advantage with an opportunistic goal in the 50th minute, before Bolivia pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 72nd.
But Vela Khumalo’s men quickly regained control of the match, with Shaun Els sealing the win with an unstoppable finish at the far post. Thanks to this display of composure and efficiency, South Africa sits alone atop Group A and sends a strong message to their future opponents.
