Valencia have marked a construction milestone at the Nou Mestalla, raising the club and Valencian Community flags at the stadium’s highest point.

The club said in a post on Twitter that the compression ring has been installed, along with 50 pillars to carry the stadium’s roof.

The roof is set to weigh 4,800 tonnes, borne by these pillars already in place. Each stands 38 metres tall, designed to shield the planned 70,044 seats.

Works are progressing with the stated objective of opening in summer 2027.

The latest video update highlights progress towards the roof structure and presents the flag-raising as a symbolic step in the build.
