Valencia defender Jesus Vazquez is happy with his progress this season.

Vazquez is on track to start against Elche this weekend.

He said, "We know that it's going to be a tough game. We have to face it with a lot of desire in order to win. We're on a good run of victories and we had a very complete game at a difficult ground to go to in Getafe.

"We'd been on a bad run, but in the end we managed to turn things around and got into the cup final. We're in a good dynamic now. We have to play away from home, but we have to win."

Vazquez also said: "At the start of the season I wasn't getting as many minutes. You have to always be ready and train hard, because you never know when your moment will come. I've played a couple of games, and I hope I can play many more. I want to help the team. I'm happy.

"José Luis Gayà and Toni Lato help me, above all. They always give me their best advice, thanks to their experience. The coach pushes me hard as well."
