Valencia ‘linked with’ Artem Dovbyk as focus remains on wide areas | OneFootball

Valencia’s window has stalled after the Thomas Meunier option at right-back collapsed, halting the club’s priority position and knocking on other planned moves.

Striker is not a priority, though it remains on the agenda. Il Messaggero reports that Valencia are among those tracking Artem Dovbyk, the former Girona forward now at Roma, alongside Betis, Genoa and Fiorentina.

The immediate focus is understood to be on the flanks. Midfield and defence are considered complete unless departures open gaps.

The plan is to add two right-backs and two wingers before contemplating a centre-forward.

Valencia have enquired about several right-backs, but preferred options come with transfer fees rivals are demanding. The club are not prepared to meet those figures for now, so the search continues for a profile that fits sporting and financial parameters.
