Carlos Corberán faces a pivotal night at the Sánchez Pizjuán, with Valencia on one point from 12 and his future in doubt. He can at least point to an unbeaten run against Sevilla since taking over, two wins and two draws, and to Valencia taking points from their last four visits, the past two under him.
According to AS, injuries continue to shape his choices, with Guido, Rioja, Diakhaby, Sadiq, Foulquier and Copete ruled out. De Haas returns to the squad, although the Dutchman is not ready to start.
If he sticks with the back four worked on this week, the defence would be Arnau, Pepelu, Tárrega and either Vázquez or Gayà, who has not started since the opening round.
Pepelu at centre-back would again free Dieng to anchor midfield alongside Ugrinic, with Javi Guerra rotating with them but with a more attacking brief.
The staff intend to maintain their trust in Otorbi, while Sato would return to the XI. Harvey Elliott would await his chance from the bench.
The main question is the number nine, Danjuma or Hugo Duro.
