Sevilla return home against Valencia seeking the win that slipped away late at Espanyol. According to AS, Luis García Plaza will replace the suspended Sangante with Castrín, the only defensive change, while Marcao will be named in the squad.

Sangante is serving a direct red from the last round and has also picked up an ankle problem that kept him out of training this week.

Questions stack up in midfield. With greater depth in the middle and attack, a switch to two out-and-out forwards is being weighed up, assuming that if Stassin starts he will not complete the 90 minutes.

Fofana is in line to start and Correia could make his debut on the left, while the right flank has so far belonged to Miguel Sierra.

Agoumé, Fofana and Kochorashvili are contesting the two roles in the double pivot. Up front, the call is whether to go with Robbie Ure and Stassin or to deploy Guridi behind the latter, as in Cornellà.

They are reasonable dilemmas for Luis García Plaza, who views his team as much improved after the final stretch of the transfer window. He now has options almost everywhere, except at centre-back where resources are tight.
