Valencia are relieved after Lucas Beltrán missed the visit to La Cerámica with knee discomfort. According to Superdeporte, there is no serious injury and no threat to his involvement in the season’s decisive run-in.
His late withdrawal left Valencia short of penetration and they felt his absence in the attacking midfield area.
He did not train on Monday as a precaution while the knee is managed, with the aim of getting him up to speed quickly. The coaching staff’s idea is for him to rejoin gradually this week and potentially make Sunday’s Osasuna squad at Mestalla.
Carlos Corberán also hopes to recover Diego López, absent from the two derbies. That would leave a choice on the left between the Asturian, Arnaut Danjuma or Largie Ramazani, who scored in Villarreal.
Renzo Saravia could also join the group. He has completed his medical with Valencia and his arrival could be made official in the coming hours, after which he would work under Corberán immediately.
