Grêmio loan round-up 2026: eight out, Adriel and João Lucas futures unclear

At the season’s halfway point in Brazil, Grêmio have eight players out on loan, with futures unclear for goalkeeper Adriel and João Lucas.
According to Globo.com, the loanees are Kike Oliveira to Bahia, Arezo to Peñarol, Aravena to Portland Timbers, Ronald to Fortaleza, Camilo to Chapecoense, João Lucas to Remo, Adriel to AVS in Portugal, and Jardiel to Novorizontino.
Kike Oliveira is at Bahia until December with 25 appearances, two goals and two assists.
Arezo, 23, is on loan at Peñarol to December and has 23 matches and nine goals. Peñarol have an option and intend to buy, though the fee is four million dollars. Grêmio have been pursued by River Plate of Uruguay over a debt linked to the player, as the club own 50 percent and are due half of the sum received for renewing the loan.
Aravena joined Portland Timbers on loan to December 2026 and has 16 outings, five starts, no goals or assists.
Ronald, 22, is at Fortaleza to December with 22 games and 10 starts.
Camilo, 27, is a regular at Chapecoense on loan, with 29 appearances.
João Lucas, 28, played 12 times for Remo before an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in March against Coritiba.
Adriel’s AVS loan in Portugal, which carries an option to buy 70 percent, ends at the end of this month. There is no indication yet whether he will remain. He has 16 games and 24 goals conceded.
Jardiel, top scorer at the 2024 Copinha, is with Novorizontino to December and has eight games and one goal in Série B.
