Valencia are searching for a goalkeeper to compete with Stole Dimitrievski. Telegraaf reports that Kayne van Oevelen, 22, of Volendam, is on their shortlist.

The report adds that a move could already be in motion, with a potential fee of around two or three million euros. Head coach Carlos Corberán currently has only the Macedonian in that position.

Van Oevelen has senior Eredivisie experience with Volendam, the Dutch top flight. His performances last season have raised his profile.

Interest has also come from other clubs, though the asking price is thought to have discouraged some.

He is viewed as a young, developing goalkeeper who fits the profile Valencia are targeting.
