Valencia have called on supporters to wear white at Mestalla on Thursday for the visit of Rayo Vallecano. According to Superdeporte, the club posted the message on its social channels under the line “Todos de BLANCO. La fuerza de Mestalla”.

The push comes in a key week and echoes Pepelu’s appeal hours earlier for unity between team and stands. The midfielder said the squad and supporters need to be together.

The club are confident Mestalla will have a big-match atmosphere to drive the team on in an important game in the run-in. They hope the crowd’s backing can make the difference.

Pepelu said the players are eager to return to Mestalla after the last outing did not go to plan, and want to give the crowd a lift with a win. He added that the best results have come when team and fans are united and that Mestalla must be a fortress.
