Valencia waiting on bureaucracy to register Sato | OneFootball

LaLiga begins this weekend, but Valencia do not play until Saturday 22 August against Celta after Betis requested a postponement of the first matchday. That delay gives Ryonsosuke Sato a chance to debut, provided the club can complete his registration.

As reported by AS, Sato has been one of Valencia’s standout performers in pre-season, repaying Carlos Corberán’s faith with industry, quality and goals. If nothing changes, the head coach plans a line-up similar to those used against Hércules and Newcastle in the Trofeo Naranja, with Sato enjoying freedom in attack.

The club intend to keep him on a B-team registration while integrating him with the first team for training and matches. He currently lacks the federative licence needed for LaLiga, a process complicated by his status not being tied to the senior squad.
