Vanderson not for sale, Monaco CEO confirms | OneFootball

Vanderson (25) is not for sale, AS Monaco’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, confirmed in a press conference attended by Get French Football News. 

Vanderson joined Monaco from Gremio back in January 2022. He made a strong start but his progress has since been stunted by injuries. Last season, the Brazil international (seven caps) was limited to 23 appearances in all competitions and he subsequently missed out on inclusion in Carlo Ancelotti’s FIFA World Cup squad.

His compatriot, Caio Henrique, has already left Monaco this summer (to join Ajax), but the Principality club are not looking to offload Vanderson, it was confirmed on Wednesday. “There is the plan and then what can happen during the summer. Vanderson had a lot of problems last season,” began Scuro in Wednesday’s press conference in La Turbie.

He continued, “But his situation is different from Caio’s, both in terms of age and length of contract. For us, Vanderson should stay. The plan is for him to stay.”
