Vandinho struck on 11 minutes of the second half. With a man advantage after Kauã was sent off, Corinthians pressed, Barack saved his first effort before he combined with Kaio Lopes and slotted into the corner.

It was Vandinho's third of 2026, lifting the 33-year-old to 11th in the club list, level with Kaio Lopes and pivot Da Bonja. He is now one behind the seventh-placed quartet, Kevin William, who left in May, Fellype Bancatelli, Caio Barros and Igor Bredof.

This season marks his comeback after rupturing the Achilles in his left leg on 13 December 2025 during the Liga Nacional final against Jaraguá. He returned at the end of July and is working to regain his role.

Across 37 matches in 2026, Corinthians have 18 wins, nine draws and 10 defeats. They have scored 92 goals at 2.5 per game and conceded 61 at 1.6.

The point takes Corinthians to 36 in the Paulista and they currently lead. Their first-phase record is 11 wins, three draws and one defeat from 15, though Magnus Futsal and Liga Sancaetanense have games in hand and could overtake.

Next up is Pato in the Liga Nacional play-offs on 28 September at 21:30, again at Wlamir Marques.
