Metz and Nantes drew 0-0 at Stade Saint-Symphorien as VAR ruled out Gauthier Hein's stoppage time strike and the visitors survived Tylel Tati's first half red card to keep both sides in the relegation zone.

Tylel Tati was sent off in the 39th minute.

Anthony Lopes made five saves to frustrate Metz, twice denying Bouna Sarr before the interval.

After the restart, Les Canaris brought on Ali Youssif and Deiver Machado at half time to bolster the defence, while Metz introduced Lucas Michal and Nathan Mbala for late pressure.

Hein thought he had won it in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time, but VAR ruled the goal out a minute later.

Metz carried the threat with 19 attempts and 66.2% possession. Les Canaris mustered six attempts and relied on their goalkeeper's handling.

Next, Metz visit Marseille. Les Canaris travel to Auxerre.
