Vasco, Felipe, Admar and staff charged by STJD after half-time row with officials | OneFootball

The Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva has charged Vasco and five club members over incidents during the 1-0 win against Vitória in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals. According to Globo.com, the case is based on the referee’s report detailing a half-time confrontation after Cauan Barros was sent off.

After Barros’ dismissal in the first half at São Januário, a report signed by referee Matheus Delgado Candançan says fitness coach Daniel Felix confronted the officials in a rude and offensive manner as they headed to the dressing rooms.

A club security employee then moved towards the officials and shouted insults, but was restrained by police. The report adds that Felipe Loureiro, Admar Lopes and goalkeeping coach Nelcírio Franchin also tried to approach despite a police cordon.

The document records offences attributed to Vasco members and alleges Franchin attempted to punch the fourth official, again being held back by police. Cups containing liquids and ice were thrown from the home section towards the officials, and the objects were launched again as the officials returned for the second half.

Post-match, further protests by Felipe and Admar were noted. The STJD has cited Barros under article 78 of the CBJD, the club under article 213, items I and III, and Felipe, Felix and Admar under article 258, paragraph 2, item II. Franchin also faces article 258, paragraph 2, item II, and article 254-A, paragraph 3, which addresses aggression against the officiating team.
