Vasco have lodged an official offer with Red Star Belgrade, Crvena Zvezda, to sign Brazilian striker Bruno Duarte, 30. The bid is around 1.5 million euros, approximately R$ 9.2 million, and the Belgrade club have yet to issue a formal reply.

According to PaponaColina, the Rio club have put forward a 30-month contract to persuade the No 9 to return to Brazilian football.

Finding a penalty-box finisher is treated as urgent by the board at the request of head coach Pedro Emanuel. The aim is to lift output in the Campeonato Brasileiro survival fight and in knockout competitions.

Duarte has delivered consistently for Red Star, with 98 appearances, 42 goals and 14 assists for the Belgrade side.

His current campaign remains strong. In 5 matches in the second half of 2026 he has 3 goals and 3 assists, including two in UEFA Champions League qualifying.

Vasco await Red Star’s feedback and could tweak the fee or payment structure to progress the deal. With the CBF transfer window ticking, they want a new focal point in the coming days.

A Palmeiras academy graduate, Duarte has played abroad since 2018. His career includes spells in Portugal with Vitória de Guimarães and Farense, in Ukraine with Lviv, and in Saudi Arabia with Damac.
