Vencedor and Matías Moreno will miss Sunday’s match at San Mamés for Luís Castro’s side. As reported by as.com, Levante are set to regain Unai Elgezabal in the squad.

Elgezabal rejoined full group work on 28 January after external meniscus surgery in early December and has trained normally this week. Diego Pampín has also resumed partial sessions with team-mates.

Vencedor, on loan from Athletic, is unavailable due to a loan clause. He also sat out the reverse fixture at the Ciutat de València for contractual reasons. Under Luís Castro he has started only once in five matches, at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he impressed.

Moreno has been under concussion protocol following a clash with Sorloth and will rest this weekend. Castro does not risk players who are short of fitness, a stance known to both Matías and Kervin Arriaga, with the centre-back aiming to be in peak condition for the Valencia derby.

Three Levante players are one booking from suspension, with Adrián de la Fuente, Kervin Arriaga and Jeremy Toljan all on four yellow cards. For now, Manu Sánchez is the only squad member to have served a ban.
