VfB Stuttgart have reached a club-level agreement with Hull City over a €6.5m permanent deal for right-back Josha Vagnoman, with Stuttgart to retain 50 percent of his future transfer rights, Sky Germany reports. Personal terms are still to be agreed, so the transfer is not complete.

The Germany international started Stuttgart’s Bundesliga opener against Bayern Munich and had a mixed afternoon, scoring for VfB before putting through his own net in a heavy defeat.

This represents a shift after Stuttgart rejected Hull’s initial approach earlier in the summer. Injuries to Lorenz Assignon and Nikolas Nartey had then reinforced their stance, and guidance suggested only an offer near €10m would be entertained.

Why Stuttgart have reopened the door is unclear at this stage.

West Ham United and Nottingham Forest are said to be exploring late moves, leaving the 25-year-old with options in England as the deadline looms.
