Víctor Fernández Junior is close to rejoining Real Valladolid on loan from Valencia, with the 19-year-old attacking midfielder set for a move back to his boyhood club. According to Radio Marca, the deal is being lined up after his recent permanent move from Levante.

He had been due to start pre-season with Valencia’s first team, but first-team minutes were considered unlikely. The plan is for him to gain experience above Segunda RFEF level, though short of Primera División.

Amid interest from several Segunda clubs, the report added the player has chosen a return to Valladolid’s first team.

Junior left Valladolid at 16 without renewing his deal while in the Juvenil A, having already featured for the Promesas. A strong offer from Levante and the search for quicker development prompted a move to the city of the Turia.

He managed only a one-minute debut for Levante in Segunda, then impressed with Valencia’s second team last season, playing 32 matches and scoring 11 goals. Valencia exercised a purchase clause after that form.
