Arturo Vidal stayed silent in an online challenge that asked him to speak only if a rival was better, effectively placing himself above a host of elite midfielders.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the host named Paredes, Tchouaméni, Rakitić, Aranguiz, De Paul, Casemiro, Kanté, Lampard, Gerrard, Rodri, Xabi Alonso, Pirlo, Xavi and Iniesta. Vidal remained quiet to the end.

That stance put him above World Cup winners Kanté, Pirlo, Xavi and Iniesta, a trophy he never won. His major honours are two Copa América titles and the 2022 Libertadores with Flamengo.

He won three league titles with Bayern Munich and one with Barcelona. In Italy, with Juventus and Inter, he collected five Serie A titles.

Vidal joined Flamengo on a lucrative deal but disappointed on the pitch. He played 51 games, scored two goals and supplied three assists across 2022 and 2023.

Short of opportunities, particularly after rows with Vítor Pereira and Jorge Sampaoli, he later signed for Athletico-PR. Now 38, the self-styled King plays for Colo-Colo.
